I just recieved two B. jacksoni from Tabor, Both were doa. I saw his ad on scorp-corp for a pair and the price included shipping, for some reason I never thought to ask if it was express or not. The package was shipped out on monday and arrived today, two days later. Both jacksoni were dead and normaly I would say it was my fault for not reading the fine print and upgrading to express mail but the way the scorpions were packed makes me think otherwise. They came in a small packet type envalope, inside the envalope were two small round plastic containers about 2.5 inches in diameter with the scorpions inside. Both of the containers had 1 small hole in them for air and were packed with moist cloth under and ontop of the scorpion inside. there was also a small piece of bubble rap around the containers. When I got it the package looked like it had been run over, it was almost flat and both cups were cracked. The temps outside were high and so were those little plastic cups, they were warm to the touch. I have never had anything shipped to me in an envalope before and I can't help but think that if they were packed properly that the scorpions would have made it. I looked around and saw nothing but good reviews for tabor and so i'm wandering what went wrong here. I sent tabor a letter today and hope to here back form him so we can resolve this.

Hmmm 10+ people received their scorps packed in a similar manner jsut fine this week. Just bad luck. You didnt give me the details of the package being crushed etc... I blame USPS.. I'll see about a refund or a reship, even though they werent guarenteed.

also I dont think my packing was poor.. in vials surrounded by wet paper towels is the industry standard bro...

I vouch for Adam and Ryan. Some of the coolest people I have dealt with. I have never experienced a problem with any of the packing from them, and believe me I have had a few. I too believe it was USPS and I can say for a fact that I have had problem with them in the past. These guys are cool, they have a lot of rare and unique and have never given me any kind of trouble. They respond quickly, let me know whats goin on, and are quick to deliver when they say they will. I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them. But do not judge them on one bad time. Trust me, if you buy from them they will not disappoint.

It sucks that my first review on VL had to be so negative.. but im glad to see some prior customers coming in here to back me up.

I think atomiceric is very new to the hobby. He sent me payment on a saturday then on sunday or monday asked where his scorpions were. There is no "fine print" on my website, it says right under the picture of the jacksoni that the price includes PRIORITY shipping and that overnight costs extra. I've given him my phone number and email address so we can sort this out like civilized humans.

I would like to see pics of the packing and dead specimens just out of curiosity. I also have no replacement jacksoni, as it was stated when he ordered there was ONE PAIR left. The best I can do is offer to reship him some babies in the near future, this is all without any proof of his claim. Hopefully this will sort itself out.

I didn't mean to sound so negative, let me clear things up. On the web site I saw the ad for a pair of B. jacksoni for 60.00 shipped, I read no further than that. If I had read on I would have seen it plain as day that the included shipping is priority and that express is extra. I'm not new to this at all and I should have known that at the low price of 60.00 it would not include the express shipping. This is 100% my fault. Now about the packing, I have sent out a number of animals over the past few years and I allways use a lined box with newspaper and either a hot or cold pack depending on weather. I have never seen anybody use envalopes maybe it's fine but I wouldn't do it. Tabor responded quikly to my pm and has offered to reship the package at his expense. I told him I thought a 50/50 split would be fair on a reship. I have seen nothing but good reviews for tabor and I would still buy from him.

Tabor, just a word of advise get rid of the envelopes and use boxes instead you will have less mortalities in the long run. Regardless of who you use to ship some of these carriers can be brutal with packages. At least a styro foam box will with stand more punishment then a envelope. Not trying to criticize just trying to help out

Yeah I switched entirely to boxes after this. I mostly used boxes before anyways, but had notived a few people over in Europe using evenlopes so I figured I'd give it a try... thanks for the tip ron

a couple mounths ago Adam (Tabor) contact me about c. margaritatus yellow morph. I had these for sale/trade. We made a trade deal and I sendit 26 c. margaritatus + 6 c.m. morenoi's to him but never saw his package.

after he got my package I talked to him a couple of times where he said that I most have some patients, but after 2 mounths waiting and getting no respons to my mails or nothing I think I most post this here.

I see he is active here so he most did read my mails!

I also had let make him contact with a friend of my where he did the same thing!

So Adam whats the reason of this behaviour???

Just to let every one know that two people were using this account, me (Ryan), and my younger brother, Adam. I dont live with him or have any control over his actions. I've been into inverts for 10+ years, and Adam started to show intrest in them over the summer so I shared my account with him.

I started hearing complaints from people about him about a month ago, and so as of 10 or so days ago I changed my password on here and on AB. He no longer has access to VL or AB to my knowledge, and I don't even know if he is even still into scorps.

I tried to settle his debts with most people that he ripped off, and I did. But I have no extra scorps, and no extra money left to compensate for his actions. All I can offer is an apology. He even scammed ME, his own brother, out of money and scorps. Unless you were communicating with me at my FSU email address, then chances are you were dealing with Adam.

Everyone that I (Ryan) have dealt with will tell you that im 100% honest and always deliver on trades and sale. I'm sure many people can come forth on this site and others to vouche for me. Brian S knows what the situation was/is. I realize his actions were ruining MY reputation, not just his. Hopefully this clears things up.

All this shit has got me ready to quit the hobby after 10 years.

But your brother on the other hand I will Never and I repeat NEVER deal with him again..He ripped me off and you tried to make it right with me!!! Thank you, but it wasn't between you and I and I don't believe you should have to cover for his scamming ways..If any of this comes back to haunt you and people won't deal with you because of it, just reffer them to me and I will let them know how great of a stand up guy you are..I know we have some more dealing come up soon and I cant hardly wait!!! Just so everyone knows that Ryan is taking over the business, he is a very serious person when it comes to business, but don't get me wrong hes a very cool guy to talk to. Very responsible and committed guy he won't let you down.

A while back every one know's Tabor sold off his collection me and my partner was one who bought it.after we already payed for it we started geting email's that he missed count on this one and this one died the one that we were realy excited about was C. meisei breeding pair he said died and that he would make up to us the diffrence in other scorpion's.I believed him when the box finaly came It was the worst packing job i have ever seen I sent him pick's of it he apoligized for it and said it was ups fault any way's I also gave him a count on the scorpions that were missing number's off by 8 and some ate each other along the way he said he would make up for it and again he was sorry the last email he sent to me 6 month's ago that he was going to japan and his brother would take care of it.well I have sent pm's and emails about it and gave up because none were answered.well for the last month I have been seeing tabor sell scorpion's that he said were dead the C.meisei,H.sindicus and some one even said they bought bicolor's from him I finaly got a respond from a email last week from tabor saying he owe's us nothen and that I need to leave him alone then i got a second email saying oh that is my brother who you delt with and still no response other then that he delt with my partner and not me but he delt with both of us.I just want what is right for this deal we had with him.I have never wrote a bad review on any one but this will be squashed if tabor make's it right since he is back from japan and selling the scorpion's that were supose to come to us thank you

That right there is enough to know that your full of it. Everyone here knows I just acquired this species, I most certainly did not have it back when I dealt with JAMES TUTTLE. Hell, no one had it back then. I never dealt with you. Everyone here knows you're a novice, they have all received packages from me and know my packing is stellar. The part about my brother was me saying that after I left for Japan he may have sold some of his desert species (ie A. bicolor) off because he too was leaving the hobby, not that it was me "not selling my full collection to you". Which by the way I did sell everything I had left to James for the lowly sum of $400. Anyone who knows what I had knows that was a hell of a deal.

I had honestly had no communications with David Love before the mean and nasty PM's he sent me about a week ago. Anyone who knows my story (Japan, car wreck, etc) knows it would be damn near impossible me to pull any sort of "scam". His PM's are really uncalled for. I blocked him on PM's because what he was sending me was harassing and damn right mean. Why should I put up with that from some one who is clearly full of it and clearly out of it. Everyone here knows it too.


Let me break the situation down for you: You thought you were going to make bank off breeding the species I sent you. Your care levels aren't up to par, let alone your breeding skill. It's not as easy as you thought, no babies are coming! On top of that there's a recession and even reputable dealers can barely move stuff, let alone turn a profit. I've dealt with Ryan before and I can't say anything bad about him. Good guy, knows what he is doing and he is good at finding new species and has sent me money immediately when buying specimen from me. So I have nothing but good things to say from my experience.

All this about C meisei I must say is pretty juvenile. If anyone feels that they got less than they deserved in any package, they need to bring it up immediately. By going 8 months without saying a word and then randomly bashing on people, you make any claims MUCH less convincing. Not to mention that if YOU personally have not dealt directly with a person, you may not write reviews about them. (Especially 8 months later.) No offense Dave but apparently you were not a member of ths site when Ryan left the hobby last fall.


All I am saying is that in the few transaction we had before he left the hobby last fall, Ryan was nothing but nice to me. Yes his brother was pretty bad to me, and many others....but not Ryan.

not puting any word's in any boudy's mouth his review thread speak's for it's self on this forum and other's and I joined this forum a month after he left the hobby for one and i sent him pm's and emails on what he still owed and if you look at the list of what he owes it's around 34 scorpions.ryan and adam are blaming this both on each other he said adam sold us the collection then he goe's back on his word saying he never had any of the so called scorpions in his collection
I tryed to resolve this along time a go and yes i did deal directly with ryan it was half my money and they were shipped to my house I delt with the un packing and the count of the scorpions when unpacking and the missing scorpions emails were sent to ryan about it he said he would take care of it.after a while my emails were ignored so i wrote it off as some one just riped us off while leaving the hobby until he started posting again.but i tryed to resolve this for months.This is not some one going on the war path if this happen to you would you just site back and take it even after you sent email after email to him????and the email's are ignored??? it's just funny how ryan blame's his brother and let's his brother use his account if his brother is not to be truested???

This whole thing is getting a bit old.

Tabor, whichever of you is reading this, and whichever of you are involved with this transaction (I know I can't tell, but I don't care either) I suggest you get separate usernames. This will help resolve a lot of the issues that I see here. Looking through this thread, including old posts, seems half the people don't know exactly who they're working with. It also seems the two of you are working with some different ethics - some good, some bad. I wouldn't let ANYONE use my username - my wife, my father, my coworkers, no one. This way everyone knows that "The Nothing" is me. Its not me and my wife and my mother and some kid I know across the street.

David, I know things suck at the moment. Its never any good when you feel that someone ripped you off. I deal with similar things from time to time with animals more expensive than scorpions. This is why the list of people I deal with is very small. If something goes wrong, I know they'll either explain what happened or try to make up for the problems. Its tough to negotiate with some people. A year and a half ago I was ripped off for a carburetor. I also posted on other forums about the kid that ripped me off. I went to sites he went to and made a single post about him (never anything like this), filed a paypal complaint and request for refund, myspace to hunt him down, even called his mother and the postmaster. A year and a half later I still have no carb or money. I gave up on everything a long time ago. Sadly I knew I had to write it off. It wasn't worth the energy to fight with this person.


I don't know either of you (any of you?) and haven't dealt with any of you either. I can tell you I am tired of people telling me to ban one or another of you. At this point I do not have any reason to break out the ban stick. I am, however, shutting this thread down. The relentless arguing back and forth has gone beyond the scope of this forum, and I had hoped my last post would have ended the banter on this thread.
