  1. Yeah it's nice to see the site back up and stuff. Nice to see your getting into the year strong too!
  2. I found a nest that I assumed was dead [no activity] but upon opening it up it was semi-active, but with a black and white queen instead of a D arenaria queen. https://youtu.be/xtYUWh8k5eE
  3. I found a nest that I assumed was dead [no activity] but upon opening it up it was semi-active, but with a black and white queen instead of a D arenaria queen. https://youtu.be/xtYUWh8k5eE
  4. Found a bunch of wasps ripping off wood for nests, I got a video of them doing so, the last queen didn't want to be video'd haha
  5. Cool, my season just started, we just got leaves on the tree last week won't have flowers on the trees for another week or so.
  6. Wow you guys are lucky! I'm still getting snow, probably will be for the rest of April, if not into may a little [i hope not but that's the way it is here] Looks like your gearing up for quite the season!
  7. Wow the colours on those things are amazing!
  8. Missed two pictures sorry:
  9. So obviously no nests for me this year [i got to them too late] but here are a few wasp pictures I thought I'd share: D. maculata with Prey [fly] Different Worker with prey Vespula pensylvanica I know not the best pictures in the world. More to come I also need to take a few pictures of some nests [including a very large Maculata nest in my back alley!]
  10. I agree with 009Aaa here free-range them, it should work out fine, but do it soon or you might loose the Colony
  11. I'm hoping that once the workers emerge the Colony can pick up a bit more and then more larvae will spin cocoons, then the Cycle will just pick up from there. More workers, more food, more workers etc.
  12. I'm pretty sure by now it should be safe from Usruptions. I would laugh at any queen who tried
  13. I think you should keep [and feed] the one without workers and then Free-Range the one that has workers.
  14. That thing is getting huge!
